Men's soccer headed to final four

The Virginia Tech men's soccer team earn its first-ever College Cup birth with a 1-0 over No. 3 Connecticut Saturday afternoon in Storrs, Conn.

Junior forward Patrick Nyarko scored the lone goal of the match after a long pass from Robert Edmans at 21:39

Junior goalie Markus Aigner made four saves for the Hokies; it was his fifth shutout of the year.

Nyarko now has a team-high 26 points this season.  He is also tied for the team lead in goals, with seven.

The Hokies will play the winner of the Notre Dame vs. Wake Forest match on Friday, Dec. 14 in Cary, N.C.
