Virginia Tech has hired Stanford offensive assistant Aaron Moorehead to fill their wide receivers coaching position.
Moorehead, 32, played wide receiver for the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts for four seasons (2003-07) after graduating from Illinois. He spent the 2009 season as a graduate assistant at the University of New Mexico, where he worked with the wide receivers.
Virginia Tech’s current wide receivers coach, Kevin Sherman, accepted a similar position at Purdue.
Bruce Feldman of CBS Sports reported that the Hokies have hired former Auburn offensive coordinator Scot Loeffler to the same position at Tech.
