Thursday, Feb. 21
7:30 p.m. –The Shape of Things (Squires Haymarket Theatre): Four university students struggle with big questions surrounding the nature of art, love, manipulation and identity in this play written by Neil LaBute and directed by Susanna Rhineheart. Sponsored by the School of Performing Arts and Cinema, tickets are $8 for students/seniors and $10 for adults.
9 p.m. – Men’s Basketball (Cassell Coliseum): Virginia Tech will take on the Blue Devils at home.
Friday, Feb. 22
3:30 p.m. –Tech Chamber Singers (Squires Recital Salon): Come out and enjoy a performance of Latin American music for the International Congress on Latin American Music. Admission is free but seating is limited.
11:55 p.m. – Pokémon: The First Movie (Lyric Theatre): For all the students who remember collecting and playing with Pokémon cards as kids. Tickets are $5.
Saturday, Feb. 23
Noon – VTU presents: Winterfest 2013 (Squires Student Center): Indoor carnival includes games, a balloon artist, a magician, food and more. Event is free and open to the public.
4 p.m. – Poetry Sampler: Voices of the Region (Solitude): Join other students and enjoy a celebration of poetry by writers of the Appalachian Writers Guild. This event is free and refreshments will be served.
Sunday, Feb. 24
6 p.m. – Men’sProxy-Connection: keep-alive
asketball vs. Florida State (Cassell Coliseum): Tech will take on the Seminoles at home.
6 p.m. – VTU Oscar Viewing Party (Commonwealth Ballroom): There will be beverages, food, official ballots, movie trivia and a chance to win prizes. Admission is free.
