Sticking with fitness goals can be difficult but you don’t have to go at it alone. We’ve compiled the best free smart phone apps to help you knock out that New Year’s resolution.
Get Motivated
CharityMiles: This app donates 25 cents for every mile you run or walk and 10 cents for every mile you bike. With corporate sponsors backing the bill, all users need to do is work out and then post their activity to a form of social media as a way to raise awareness for charities and fitness.
The Diet Coach: This app provides the voice of reason when you feel most tempted to make unhealthy decisions. It includes custom diet reminders, perseverance tips and motivational assistants, such as food craving timers, motivational photos and goal reminders. This app does more than just keep you focused on your goal, but also helps form healthy habits.
Get Fit
Nike Training Club: Have you ever wondered what workout Hope Solo would design for you? With the help of professional athletes and trainers, N.T.C. provides over 114 workouts with step-by-step instructions and demonstration videos. The workouts last anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes and provide full-body as well as muscle-specific options.
Get Lean
Lose It!: This virtual food log enables users to manage their calorie intake and outtake. Users can view their personal daily log while adding food and exercises. One of the perks of this app is the scanner, which makes logging food quick and easy. Working in a similar fashion as Weight Watchers, this is great for people who would like to be more aware of how much they should be eating.
You can try one or all but just remember to keep working towards your goal. You’ll see the result you want in no time.
