Thursday, November 29
11 a.m. – “Argo” (The Lyric): After a special screening of “Argo,” the Lyric will host a presentation from the CIA historian who consulted on the film. Tickets are $5.
6 p.m. – Therapy Dogs (Newman Library): VT Helping PAWS (Pet Assisted Wellness Service) will bring therapy dogs to visit with students and relieve stress.
Friday, November 30
11:30 a.m. – Holidays at Smithfield (Smithfield Plantation): Visitors can receive a tour of the historic Smithfield house, hear live music and enjoy holiday food. Tickets are $18 for adults and $9 for children.
7:30 p.m. – “The Jo Carson Project” (Theatre 101): A play based on the work of playwright and author Jo Carson. Admission is free to the public.
Saturday, December 1
2 p.m. – Men’s Basketball (Cassell Coliseum): The Hokies will take on #15 Oklahoma State.
4:30 p.m. – Women’s Basketball (Cassell Coliseum): Virginia Tech will play Longwood as a part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
Sunday, December 2
1 p.m. – Pet Portraits with Santa (Vet Med Room 125 Lounge): Omega Tau Sigma hosts an opportunity for students to get their pets pictured with Santa. Prints will be available to purchase.
3 p.m. – Holiday Concert (Blacksburg United Methodist Church): The University Choirs will perform the second of two holiday concerts directed by Dr. Dwight Bigler. Tickets are available at the venue one hour before the performance. General admission is $5 and student/senior tickets are $3.
