Don’t even try to tell me you haven’t seen it; it’s probably stuck in your head right now. It’s about time someone surpasses Justin Bieber’s beloved Most Watched title for his hit “Baby” on YouTube. Surprisingly enough, that someone is South Korean rapper PSY. PSY is taking the world by storm with his catchy hit “Gangnam Style” and its accompanying dance moves.

According to a posting on its trends blog, YouTube stated that the “Gangnam Style” music video has been viewed 805 million times — 2 million more times than Bieber’s “Baby” video.

PSY has gained instant popularity and has become a global sensation not only for his catchy song, but also for the accompanying dance that mimics horse riding. PSY, also known as 34-year-old Park Jae Sang, has appeared on popular television programs such as “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and the “Today Show.” PSY is also scheduled to perform at iHeartRadio concerts across the country among other famous artists such as Flo Rida and ironically, Justin Bieber.

The song also continues to remain on iTunes’ top ten most purchased songs this week.

Despite the fact the video was uploaded this past July, “Gangnam Style” has recently gained footing in the United States and has undoubtedly impacted the music world. Whether you love it or hate it, it looks like PSY and his song are here to stay… until the next international rapper comes along with catchy lyrics and a funky dance to accompany them.
